Lauren Gilbert is a job-stealing immigrant. I am also a researcher in innovation, science, and global health and development.

I am currently a non-resident fellow at the Energy for Growth Hub, a senior researcher at UK Day One, and a Roots of Progress Fellow. In January 2025, I will join Renaissance Philanthropy as the programme manager of Horizon Scanning Study Group in collaboration with ARIA.

Outside of my Substack, my work has been published in The Economist, Works in Progress, Asterisk Magazine, and The Washington Post (1, 2). I’ve also contributed to various QI books, including Amazon.co.uk bestsellers 222 QI Answers to Your Quite Ingenious Questions, 1234 Facts To Leave You Speechless.
